Mr. Smith’s practice focuses on construction litigation and arbitration, including representing project owners, contractors, and EPC firms in the resolution of disputes arising out of technologically complex projects. Mr. Smith has extensive experience in all aspects of commercial litigation and arbitration including contested hearings, jury and bench trials, arbitral hearings, and mediation.
Prior to joining Stein Ray, Mr. Smith was a partner in an international law firm, where he specialized in complex litigation and arbitration matters including construction and design disputes as well as other business and insurance matters.
Mr. Smith earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from Harvard Law School in 1998. He earned his B.A. in History, magna cum laude, from Brandeis University in 1995.
